It rates as a medium-firm mattress, but really combines the best of both firm and soft products. It's the perfect balance of comfort and support. Unlike other memory foam mattresses, we sped up our foam's response rate so that you don't sink too far down into the core, and so you don't feel stuck in the foam.

The Hybrid is a 6-layer mattress. The hybrid mattress is made with Tuft & Needle Adaptive® foam (with graphite + ceramic gel), as well as a quilted, breathable memory foam (with carbon fiber + graphite), and high quality pocketed springs. These materials combine to create Tuft & Needle's most plush and breathable mattress yet!

The responsive support of springs meets the long-lasting comfort of our Tuft & Needle Adaptive® foam in our most supportive mattress yet. We took the familiar bounce of traditional design and wrapped it in an ultra-luxurious plush pillow top filled with carbon fiber-infused foam for extended durability.
Unlike all-foam mattresses, the Tuft & Needle Hybrid has a more reactive, energetic surface thanks to a tempered spring system.

Our four-layer weightless foam system combines a plush top layer with increasingly firmer base layers, to deliver an optimal combination of comfort and support. We refined our mattress through 27 rounds of testing, optimizing for pressure-relief at all five key pressure points. We tested a range of body types and sizes, ensuring that the W1.27 would be supremely comfortable for almost all people, while still providing full body support.

To keep our mattress from overheating, we developed an extraordinary new foam called 3BELOW™. It's a fully breathable, open-cell material, infused with heat-conductive gel particles. As a result, the W1.27 sleeps three degrees cooler than other foam mattresses, right in the sweet spot for deep, uninterrupted sleep.

We tested every possible material, including memory foam, latex foam, coils, coil / foam hybrids, hand-rolled cotton, horsehair, and found that memory foam gives us the greatest precision in crafting a truly great product. We compress and vacuum-seal all of our beds into a conveniently-sized box that ships free directly to your doorstep. The Tuft & Needle Hybrid typically arrives in 5 to 7 business days via FedEx. For a $150 fee, white glove delivery, setup, and removal of your current mattress is available.
