The Nectar Premier Memory Foam Mattress features 13" of premium materials and has 3 layers:

• 3" Memory Foam (Density: 2.5 lbs, ILD: 18)
• 7" PU Support Foam (Density 1.8 lbs, ILD: 36).

• 1" Organic Wool Layer (both sides of Zenhaven have a flame-retardent barrier made of 100% organic New Zealand wool, not chemicals, which also adds breathability and moisture-wicking properties)
• 2x 1.5" 100% Talalay Latex "5-Zone" Comfort Layers (N2 - gentle firm side, N1 - luxury plush side)
• 2x 3" 100% Talalay Latex Support Cores (N4 - gentle firm side, N3 - luxury plush side).

While Nectar uses cooling materials in the cover, Nectar Premier builds on this by using ActiveCool memory foam, which dynamically adjusts to individual body heat. So if you sleep hot, it wicks your heat and stores it. If you sleep cool, it releases stored heat to help warm you. And with the Premier, you get the cooling cover, too. By varying the size and distribution of the "pinholes" formed during the Talalay process, we created a seamless mattress layer with 5 distinct zones of density, providing Zenhaven with firmer support beneath the torso and shoulders and more subtle support elsewhere. The result is pressure-free support and better spinal alignment.

The top 3-inch layer of gel-infused memory foam with phase-change material (PCM) helps provide temperature regulation while you sleep. (Designed in labs to react to your rising and dropping body temperatures, auto-adjusting to your temperature as you sleep.)

The second memory foam layer, or the transition layer, is intended to help provide resistance against the body as you lay down on top of the mattress. If you were to jump onto your mattress, this layer prevents you from feeling the base support layer of foam.
The base support layer is intended to provide solid support for the layers above it. It helps give structure and stability for all of the other components to perform as desired.
