Exclusive to Amazon, the Nod is 100% polyurethane foam and not comprised of their proprietary T&N Adaptive foam. It has 2 layers of construction:

• 2.5" Comfort Layer of Responsive Foam
• 5.5" Supportive Base Layer.

The key to quality sleep is staying cool. In this regard, the Cypress truly excels. The breathable knitted cover, charcoal-infused memory foam, and contour cut foams work together to promote airflow and cooling, all night long.

The foam used in the Nod mattress is an open-celled polyurethane foam that we engineered to have the benefits of memory foam's pressure relief and latex's support, without their drawbacks (like memory foam's sinking and sleeping hot, and latex's lack of pressure relief). That said, both memory and synthetic latex foams are subsets of polyurethane foam.

The hybrid includes all the benefits of the Memory Foam Mattress plus our innerspring unit with coil support. Precision crafted, pocketed coils effortlessly distribute your body's weight, absorb partner movement, and relieve aching pressure points, while structurally reinforcing the perimeter to eliminate that "roll-off-the-edge" feeling.

Charcoal is full of beneficial properties that are perfect for mattresses, like temperature and moisture control. Plus, charcoal is completely natural. The Cypress Memory Foam mattress is charcoal-infused, so while the bed has plush contouring comfort, it is also super breathable. The charcoal-infused foam works hard to move moisture and heat away from your body, so all you do is stay dry, cool, and comfortable - all night long.

We chose an open-cell foam which allows air to freely flow throughout the night, overcoming foam's reputation for sleeping hot.

Charcoal-infused memory foam relieves pressure points by distributing weight evenly across the mattress. Ideal for couples, it isolates motion so you won't disturb your partner while you sleep. With the perfect amount of cradle and cushion, the memory foam creates a medium plush feel that's great for partners with different sleep preferences.

The cover is a luxurious soft knit that breathes effortlessly made of 99% polyester, 1% spandex.

The Nod Mattress cover is a viscose/polyester blend.
