A soft mattress and a firm mattress in one. Our signature flippable firmness™ means you have two choices in one mattress to find the right fit for you. One side of the mattress has a soft, plush feel, or you can flip it over to the other side for a firmer, even more supportive feel. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being the softest, The Layla Hybrid scores a 4 out of 10 on the soft side and a 7 out of 10 on the firm side. Add the Layla Topper™ to any side to soften up those numbers even more.

You like firm and your partner likes medium? You will love the Latex Hybrid as you can order it with the latex split on the inside to create a custom sleep environment on either side of the bed (offered in King and Cal King sizes only). The firm is a 7.5-8, the medium is rated a 4.5-5 and the plush a 3-3.5. The split allows any combination of the 3 firmnesses on each side of the mattress (plush/firm, med/firm or plush/med).
Medium is recommended for those of an average weight, who want to feel supported by the mattress, with a little give and if you are a combination sleeper (back and side sleeper). Firm is more suited for back or stomach sleepers, those who prefer a firm sleeping surface, with a plush pillow top, or if recommended by a medical professional. Plush is most suited to side sleepers, those who are under 140 lbs, and sleepers looking for pressure point relief and gentle support.

During your initial 365-night trial, you may exchange to another feel by simply unzipping your mattress and placing a new comfort layer inside. It's recommended that you rotate or flip your feel layer every six months to distribute wear evenly. If decreasing waste and getting more out of your mattress isn't enough, you can also opt to purchase a comfort layer from Nest Bedding in the future. This allows you to double or even triple the lifespan of your Owl Natural Latex Hybrid mattress! Furthermore, all latex is aired out in Nest Bedding's factory to allow any strong scent to dispel. Doing this helps minimize any natural scent.

Flip it to the side that feels best for you. Softer and more plush, the soft side of the Layla Hybrid Mattress is great for those who prefer a little hug from your mattress. The firm side offers less sink and increased support for a more traditional firmer feeling mattress.

Inside your Owl Natural Latex Hybrid mattress is a comfort layer engineered to bring gentle support and pressure relief.

Copper-infused foam transfers heat away from your body faster, resulting in a much cooler sleeping experience. And because copper is naturally anti-microbial, the copper gel in this mattress will form an antimicrobial barrier that resists odor causing bacteria and keeps you sleeping fresh.
Surface Modification Technology (SMT) shapes are cut up to half an inch deep for added support, airflow, and pressure relief.

The 3" OEKO-TEX® Certified Natural Talalay Latex layer is available in different firmness levels. This latex is made in the USA and utilizes a method referred to as Continuous Pour, which evenly distributes latex particles within the manufacturing process and creates the most consistent density possible.

Memory foam infused with copper reacts under body weight with a firming response. This response is called Variable Support and unlike traditional memory foam, it provides increased support at deep compression areas.
The tri-zone layers provide more support in the center of the mattress (for hips and shoulders).
High quality American-made 14 gauge central springs are individually wrapped in fabric so you get individual support for every inch of your body. The springs move independently so when your partner moves around your side of the bed stays put allowing you to sleep soundly through the night. A double coil perimeter in the two outermost rows using 16 gauge coils make for superior edge support.

The transitional foam layer allows your bodies weight distribution to evenly press against the surface area of the coils underneath it.
The individually wrapped coil system offers reinforced edge support allowing you to sleep edge-to-edge without the feeling of falling or rolling off the mattress.
The base foam layer is purely structural. When pressure is applied to the coil system, this layer is there to act as a buffer between your foundation and the mattress.

Our super-soft high quality thick fabric allows for a comfortable sleeping experience and is removable for easy cleaning and maintenance (Fabric: 66% Polyester, 30% viscose, 4% poly lycra). The top of this mattress features a soft pillow top design, consisting of plush organic stretch knit cotton and quilting foam.

Your Layla Hybrid is made to order (which means it's not sitting in a warehouse collecting dust). From the day you place your order it could take between 3 and 5 business days to manufacture your mattress and ship out. Once shipped you will receive an email with tracking information. Allow for an additional 7 to 10 business days for the mattress to arrive to your home.

Your new mattress can take up to 2-4 business days to make as they are made to order by hand in the USA. Then, we ship from the West Coast, so depending on where you live, it can take 1-5 business days in transit.
