The Medium is a 4 to 6 on the firmness scale and the Luxury Firm is rated a 6 to 8.

We make one model of mattress that is designed to be universally comfortable and medium firm, in order to benefit all different types of sleepers regardless of factors such as age, height, weight, or the way you sleep. We like to describe it as firm enough to be supportive, yet soft enough to be comfortable!
We've designed our foam to work with those who like soft mattresses as well as those who like firm, so we encourage everyone to give us a try regardless of your usual preference. If you're not 100% satisfied, you can return it for a full refund.

Two-layer blended foam designed by and proprietary to Tuft & Needle:

• The comfort foam layer is 3" of a very high-density foam that we created to achieve our universally comfortable, cool and responsive properties. The density is about 2.8 lbs/cubic ft.
• The support foam layer is 7" of a high-density poly-foam. The density is about 1.8 lbs/cubic ft.

Our unique Talalay latex foam perfectly contours to your body. However, this advanced foam actually changes immediately as your body rolls, providing complete and total support for your curves, relieving pressure on your neck, shoulders, hips and knees.
Our proprietary foams feature an advanced open-cell structure designed to deliver superior breathability and temperature control.

We've engineered a new foam based purely on customer feedback, unparalleled in comfort and support. It's not memory foam or latex. It's Tuft & Needle Adaptive® Foam.

We chose to use heavy-duty, six-inch hybrid mattress coils in order to ensure optimum support throughout the night for those who prefer a springier feel. This special six-inch coil-design spans from firm-edge to firm-edge ensuring the maximum air movement possible.

Supportive Base Layer
Our custom Tuft & Needle Adaptive® Foam is paired with a high-quality support layer that forms the perfect foundation for our mattress.
Our foam is ideal for sleepers of any size or weight - and this is what makes it unique. The more pressure you put on it, the more it reacts to support you.

We designed our GOTS organic cotton cover to deliver the perfect combination of strength and softness. It's pliable and soft, but very durable, ensuring that you get the comfort you need for a restful night's sleep, and strong enough to stand the test of time. You'll also find that our organic cotton mattress cover doesn't pill or cause static electricity.
Or choose the Copper Ion-Infused Cover. The power of copper, the health benefits of ionization, and the durability of bamboo combined with rayon - that’s what you'll find in our optional copper ion-infused cover. Copper ions helps fight bacteria and microbes that cause odor, keeping your luxury hybrid mattress smelling fresh and clean. Copper has also been used for thousands of years to clarify skin and aid in the body's healing process. Our bamboo-rayon fabric also offers outstanding durability and keeps the copper close to your skin to deliver the health benefits and freshness you need.

Our plush Tuft & Needle Original Mattress cover is made with a blend of micro polyamide and polyester. It has a lofty, soft feel which is very pleasant to the touch. Micro Polyamide is commonly used in clothing for men, women, and children as an alternative to cotton that dries 6-8 times faster, helping you sleep cooler, longer. With durability in mind, we've designed a fabric that will last. Our mattress cover fabric is pilling-and tearing-resistant. We ask that customers do not remove our cover at any time, as the cover is not designed to be removed for any reason. The zipper on the bottom of the mattress is for assembly only.
