The foam used in the Nod mattress is an open-celled polyurethane foam that we engineered to have the benefits of memory foam's pressure relief and latex's support, without their drawbacks (like memory foam's sinking and sleeping hot, and latex's lack of pressure relief). That said, both memory and synthetic latex foams are subsets of polyurethane foam. | A layer of Airscape™ perforated breathable foam increases airflow and circulates air so you don't get too hot at night.
