Generally speaking, we describe both of our mattresses as medium-firm in feel. However, we also understand even that description can be subjective. Two people sleeping on the same mattress might have contrasting opinions - it could be too soft, too firm, or just right. While we designed the Bear Mattress to have a solid core support with a nice touch of softness on top for comfort, we would categorize the mattress as a medium-firm. Certain independent reviews for comparison on mattress firmness rate the Bear Mattress a 7.1 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being most firm.

The three layers in the Mint® Mattress work together to provide remarkable support that you'll find comfortable immediately as well as throughout the night. We increased the softness of the top layer for better pressure relief, increased the firmness of the bottom support layer (for edge support), and added a middle transitional layer to keep you from "bottoming" out.

Our ultra plush Mint® Mattress cover is made with polyester and viscose. It has a super soft, cozy touch and adds just a hint of cushion. Viscose is commonly known as rayon and is used in clothing. We ask that customers do not remove our cover at any time, as the cover is not designed to be removed for any reason. The zipper on the bottom of the mattress is for assembly only.
