The GhostBed 3D Matrix is a 5.5 to 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale (10 = too hard, 0 = too soft). The feel is slightly softer than the GhostBed and similar to the Flex.

3D Matrix Polymer Layer offers 3 dimensions of comfort:

• The 3D Matrix layer is an integrated thermal conductive gel polymer. As excess heat accumulates under and around the sleeper, it is absorbed into 3D Matrix layer. As a fully connected sheet, that absorbed heat travels away from the sleeper.
• Conventional Foam layers comfort you by compressing as different parts of the body "press" on the foam. The 3D Matrix layer is an omni directional layer which stretches in all directions to mold and contour to each individual part of the sleeper's body.
• The 3D Matrix layer is ergonomically designed which allows the sleeper to sleep on the mattress, NOT in it.

Traditional memory foam is made from dense material, so it traps your body heat and can make you sweaty and uncomfortable while you're in bed - and who can sleep like that?
We developed our foam with an enhanced "open cell structure", which means there is more air space between the foam particles. That space wicks away heat while you sleep, and can keep you cooler and more comfortable.

The core of the GhostBed 3D Matrix features the patented Ghost 3D Matrix innerspring coil unit with our Spirited Edge™ support Design. The GhostBed 3D Matrix Mattress features the exciting new 3D Matrix technology. This new comfort layer technology is revolutionary because it automatically bio-adjusts to two different body shapes and body temperatures at the same time, creating the ideal sleeping environment for both sleepers. The 3D Matrix layer automatically bio-adjusts to both sleep partners through simultaneous heat diffusion and weight distribution - two critical elements in sound sleep. The 3D Matrix allows excess heat is drawn away from the body. The Gel Polymer layer stretches in all directions conforming to the body without causing it to sink into the mattress.
Gel-infused Memory Foam absorbs and dissipates body heat as fresh air passes through the foam.

Ghost 3D Matrix Soft Transition Foam is one inch of pure pressure relief. This layer contours to your body and reduces the need to toss and turn.

Our HIVE® transition layer provides targeted support and pressure relief so you can sleep in perfect alignment. It gives your head, back, and legs more support, and your shoulders and hips more cushion.

Featuring the same cover used in other GhostBed models, the cover contains a proprietary formulation developed in Japan where cooling properties are woven directly into the fibers of the yarn, creating the Ghost Ice Fabric. The Ghost Ice Fabric is instantly cool to the touch, and will absorb and trap heat that is released by the body. Molecular changes in the fabric will neutralize the heat, keeping the sleeping surface cool.

Refresh Cooling Cover
The Refresh Cover draws heat from your skin for a delightfully cool-to-the-touch feel. On average, your sleeping surface will stay 7 degrees cooler over an eight-hour night of rest compared to a traditional 100% polyester cover. This scientifically engineered fabric uses minerals to help convert your natural body heat into far infrared energy. This type of energy increases blood circulation to help speed up muscle recovery and improve quality of sleep.
